Jeanne de Lartigue is a mezzo-soprano singer. She was born in Toulouse and began her vocal training in Paris in 1995, while practicing flute, piano and composition.
She is able to sing a wide range or arias from oratorios, that she particularly likes, to lieders, as well as operettas and operas. In 2006, she recorded a CD of her favorite repertoire entitled "Sensitivo".
The roles of predilection of Jeanne are Carmen by Bizet, Charlotte from "Werther" by Massenet, Orlando from "Orlando Furioso" by Vivaldi, "The Favorite" by Donizetti, "Arsace and Tancredi" by Rossini, without forgetting Orpheus of course from "Orpheus and Eurydice" by Gluck. On stage, she has performed the roles of Santuzza in "Cavalleria Rusticana" by Mascagni and Nancy in "Martha" by Flotow. She has also perfomed operetta roles, for example Ms.
Lange in "La Fille de Madame Angot" by Lecoq, as well as Germaine in "The bells of Corneville" by Planquette and the mischievous Louise in "the Musketeers at the Convent" by Varney. Jeanne is currently preparing the role of Carmen, the opera by Georges Bizet, which will be performed on the Theater of Rungis in June 2010.
In the field of oratorio, Jeanne has recently sung the solo part in "Theresienmesse" by Haydn as well as "theVespers of a Confessor" by Mozart with the Choirs of Paris directed by Christian Gouinguené. She has also sung the solo part in Pergolesi's Stabat Mater in a series of concerts of sacred music in the Agen region with Solaris.
She also sang the solo part in Mozart's Requiem under the direction of Rémi Gousseau, as well as the solo part of "the Mass in C" by Beethoven directed byFrancis Bardot. She is currently working on the solo part in the Verdi's Requiem, as well as the one of "the Mass in B minor" by J.S. Bach.
Jeanne has been working for several years with the fortepiano specialist Alain Roudier and their concert program ranges from song cycles of Schubert (La Belle Meuniere, The Winter Journey) to French songs, as well as 17 melodies of Chopin, a program of lieder by Mozart as well as Liszt lieders (Sonnets of Petrarch) ... Many concerts are scheduled together with and the recording of the 17 melodies of Chopin.
Jeanne is currently working on perfecting her singing with Juan Carlos Morales and Jean-Louis Dumoulin.
